LTC Training Services

The LTC Training Classes are temporarily being held at Chase Shoe Shine Parlor, 2117 Chenevert, Suite B, Houston Texas 77003.

$90 – New Students 

$15 – Required Range fees are paid separate to the range 

1 – (50 rounds) box of ammo is also required. 

Get your LTC training and firearms proficiency all completed in ONE DAY. 

Classes are scheduled on the 4th Sundays of each month from 9am to 2pm. (Minimum 5 Students required to have class – so register as early as possible!)

Due to COVID19, temperatures are taken before entering the classroom.  We will try to maintain social distance as much as possible and face masks are required.  

NOTICE: ANYONE SHOWING SIGNS OF A FEVER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.  

• Range portion will be @ Marksman Indoor Range, Inc   (MAP) 
• Pay the full amount above ($90 per student) and cut your registration time by more than half on the day of class!! 
• Don’t forget to bring valid ID to class!

• $20 Deposit – 2 Week Grace Period

Private group sessions: Minimum 10 Students – Call for Pricing 

The Department shall issue a license to carry a handgun to an applicant if the applicant meets all the eligibility requirements and submits all the application materials. 

Eligibility requirements include:

• no record of felonies, certain misdemeanors, addictions, mental illness or delinquency in child support payments or tax payments.
• A person applying for a License To Carry license must successfully complete both the classroom and range components of the handgun proficiency course to receive a handgun proficiency certificate.
• The handgun proficiency certificate must be no more than two years old.
• The Department of Public Safety by rule shall establish a procedure for a person who is a legal resident of a state that does not provide for the issuance of a License To Carry license, to obtain a Texas license.  
• A non-resident applicant is required to pay a fee for the criminal history record check and investigation. Such permits remain valid until expiration and can be renewed until the other state issues a license recognized as a valid license in Texas.
